Stuck, found a bug, or have an idea? Email is the fastest way to reach us — a human reads every message.

01What to include

For bug reports, a quick description of what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead works wonders. Your iPhone model, iOS version, and the photo's format (JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC) help too. Please don't attach the actual photo unless you're comfortable sharing it — a screenshot of the app usually tells us enough.

02Common questions

Where did my cleaned photo go? Cleaned copies are saved to your photo library as new files, right next to the original — look for the most recent photo. Your original is never modified.

Why did my HEIC photo become a JPEG? HEIC files can't be rewritten losslessly on device, so Scrub exports a clean high-quality JPEG instead. JPEG, PNG, and WebP photos are cleaned in place with zero quality loss.

A field won't edit, only remove? Individual editing works for EXIF fields. XMP, IPTC, and PNG text blocks can't be edited in place — they can only be removed whole, which the Clean button does.

Want your data gone?Scrub stores nothing about you on your device beyond settings and temporary files — delete the app and those go with it. The only thing it ever sends off-device is anonymous crash reports, which carry no personal information; email us if you'd like those purged too. Your photos stay in your library, of course.

03Feature requests

Scrub stays deliberately simple, but we love hearing what would make it better. If your idea fits the “unlock once, no fuss, nothing leaves your phone” spirit, there's a good chance it makes the roadmap.
